SA Mixcloud Theme and Station Core 1.0.3: a free WordPress site for shows posted on Mixcloud

Station Admin releases SA Mixcloud Theme and Station Core 1.0.3, a free WordPress plugin and theme for one radio station that posts its shows on Mixcloud.

What it does

Station Core keeps the station name, pulls shows from a Mixcloud account, stores a weekly schedule, and sends messages from the contact form. The SA Mixcloud Theme draws the public pages: home, blog, Mixcloud shows, schedule, contact, about, and a live page. A show opens in a small player window. When a live broadcast is on, the station turns on a switch and visitors can open that broadcast from a note at the top of the site.

Who it is for

A station that already posts its shows on Mixcloud and wants a simple WordPress site for listeners. The Mixcloud username is typed in on the Station screen. It is not built into the plugin or the theme.

Key features

  • Sync now adds new shows and updates a show when it has changed on Mixcloud
  • Home page show cards, a full show list, and a player window
  • A weekly schedule, a contact form, and a manual live switch
  • Color choices: Night red, Night blue, Night green, Night gold, and Daylight
  • WordPress lists a newer copy under Dashboard, Updates, when StationAdmin.Com publishes one
