To everyone who has downloaded one or more of my free tools or signed up for updates at stationadmin.com: thank you. You were here early, and that means a lot to me. Trust me, I hate spam. Newsletters and announcements will only be sent when there’s something worth saying.
I’m writing with some news: I’m shifting Station Admin into high gear. Over the coming months I’ll be releasing new products and improving the site, with one goal in mind. I want Station Admin to be a resource that DJs and internet radio operators can rely on.
On the workbench
Two new programs are in the works: SA Auto DJ and SA Advanced Playlist Generator. The planned release is January, and I’ll share more details in upcoming newsletters.
What’s already there
If you haven’t looked around lately, everything on the site is still free. The desktop tools include SA Stream Monitor, Radio Playlist Generator, SAM Image Consolidator, SA Re-Streamer, SA Database Magic and SA Duplicate Manager. For WordPress there’s SA Tag Manager Lite and FesterHead’s SAM Plugin. You’ll find them all on the downloads page.
On the site itself you can use the bandwidth calculator, loudness calculator, show clock builder and audio normalizer without installing anything. They’re on the tools page.
There are also setup guides for PlayoutONE, SAM Broadcaster Pro, RadioDJ and Mixxx, plus reviews of Radio.co, Airtime Pro, Live365 and SAM Cloud if you’re weighing a hosted service.
Tell me what would help
I’d like to know what would make the biggest difference at your station. Is there a chore you wish a program would handle, or a piece of software you’d like a guide for? Reply to the newsletter, or sign up below so you get the next one. I read every message myself.
Thanks for being part of this from the start.
