A free WordPress plugin for SAM Broadcaster Pro radio stations. Add shortcodes to any page to display a live Now Playing panel, a full playlist browser, and a song request interface — all pulling directly from your SAM database.
Originally developed by Steve Kunitzer (FesterHead). Updated and maintained for modern WordPress by Station Admin.
What it does
- Now Playing display — title, artist, album, year, genre, duration with live countdown, Coming Up next, current show name, album artwork, and lyrics
- Playlist browser — visitors browse your full playlist by title, artist, or album
- Song requests — integrated with your SAM Broadcaster request URL
- Amazon buy links — optional links via PA API v5 with 7-day ASIN caching
- Admin shortcode view — shows rating, added date, and play count for logged-in admins
- Auto-updates — new releases appear in your WordPress dashboard automatically
- Free — no licence key, no account needed

- WordPress 5.0 or later (tested to WordPress 7.0)
- PHP 7.4 or later — works on PHP 7.x and 8.x; plugin detects the version automatically
- SAM Broadcaster Pro with MySQL or MariaDB accessible from your WordPress host
- MariaDB 10+ or MySQL 8.0+ (tested to MariaDB 12)
