SA – SAM Image Consolidator

SAM Broadcaster saves a separate artwork file for every song. So 10,000 songs means 10,000 images. This tool consolidates them into one image per album — cutting a bloated 10,000‑file library down to roughly 800 images based on an average of 12 songs per album.

SAM Image Consolidator Work tab — Diagnose, Preview, Run Consolidation, and Results panel
The Work tab: diagnose your setup, preview albums, run consolidation with backups, or restore a previous run.

Why stations use it

  • Less clutter — fewer duplicate az* images per album in SAM.
  • Preview before you commit — see eligible albums and counts before running.
  • Backup-first — each run creates timestamped backups, including database and original images.
  • Restore when needed — pick a backup folder and roll back.
  • No Python install — single portable SAM-Image-Consolidator.exe for 64-bit Windows.
  • Optional local SAM setup — you choose whether the app may read SAM XML on your PC to prefill database and folder paths (clear privacy disclosure in the app and docs).
